¡¡Tokai region has a lot of companies with advanced manufacturing technologies, like transportation equipments. In recent years, many of these companies are willing to launch into the biotechnology business utilizing their advanced technologies and industry-academic collaborative researches. For accelerating such movement and fostering bioindustry as a new important part of local industry, "Tokai Bio Factory Project" started in July 2004. "Tokai Bio Factory Project" constitutes the fourth Japanese bio cluster following those in Hokkaido, Kanto, and Kinki regions. |
